Oslo: – Several stormed out

The police went to an address in the center of Oslo after reports of loud bangs and possible shots fired inside a nightclub.

They were alerted to the incident at 01:21, and were on the scene with several units within a minute.

– We were met by several people who rushed out of the club, and it appeared that shots had been fired at the scene. It matches traces at the site, says operations manager Eirik Sannes to Dagbladet.

He elaborates that there has been damage to the inventory.

No one was injured following the incident.

In an update at 03.30, the police state that they have finished at the scene, and that they have secured several witness interviews.

– Information we now have indicates that a person has displayed a weapon and that a bang was heard, they write at X.

The police worked at the scene throughout the night. They interviewed witnesses and searched for perpetrators. Until they have control over these, they don’t want to say anything about who they’re looking for.

The police do not have control over how many people were in the club when the shots were allegedly fired, but there were several people, according to Sannes.

The operations center reported the incident at X just before 2am on Wednesday.
