TRANBY: The emergency services responded to a fire in an apartment on Tranbylia on Tuesday afternoon.
It is the second time the emergency services have called out to Tranbylia this afternoon. Earlier on Tuesday, there was a fire in some white goods outside some apartments.
As far as Drammens Tidende is aware, this call also applies to the same place.
The police report at 18:00 that the fire has been extinguished and that the police are investigating the cause of the fire.
Drammens Tidende’s reporter at the scene reports that burnt objects are being thrown out of the window. No one has been injured or has inhaled smoke, the police report.
Shortly after 8 p.m., the police report that an investigation is underway and that a person has been charged and arrested.
Police operations manager Christian Prytz does not currently want to say anything about what exactly the person is charged with, but says that it is connected to the fire in the apartment.
– It is the circumstances on the spot that have brought charges, he says to Drammens Tidende.
Prytz says that the charge concerns the fire in the apartment, but not yet the fire in the white goods outside the block.
– It is natural to think that there may be a connection, but the investigation will show that, he says.
