Sherpatrappa, Tourist | Fell and hit my head on a tree in Sherpatrappa

--

A foreign tourist has fallen and injured himself in Sherpatrappa.

This is reported by the Troms police district on Sunday at 18.05.

It is reported that the person concerned has fallen, slipped and hit his head on a tree. The injured person complains of back and shoulder pain.

The Tromsø rescue helicopter is sent out and tries to retrieve the person, the police say.

Witnesses have observed that two people have descended to the injured person from the rescue helicopter.

At 18.24 the police updated the situation.

“The Tromsø rescue helicopter has had a rescuer and a doctor set down who are now with the patient and the mission will be handled by them.”

There have been a number of incidents in Sherpatrappa during Easter, where people have been injured on the way down due to poor footwear and lack of equipment.

Hikers have described the area as extremely smooth to travel in. Red Cross crews stated earlier this week that spikes with proper spikes or crampons must be used to travel in Sherpatrappa now.

Here, rescue crews are brought down to the injured in Sherpatrappa.
