Now the duo will open the Sandarhallen at Kariåsen on Easter Sunday, Sunday 31 March.

From 10.00 to 15.00, all children and young people between the ages of 8 and 16 are welcome to play and ball games.

– We think many children may have a bit of fleas in their blood and are restless after a long Easter holiday, so here we can offer almost all ball games, and whether you prefer table tennis, handball, football, volleyball or basketball, we’ll make it happen, says Askevold.

The background for the event is that Lars Christian Askevold believes that children and young people have too little leisure time in our city. Especially when schools and clubs close due to holidays, public holidays and/or “red” days.

– I am, of course, a big advocate for children and young people to have the best possible time in our city, he says of the project.

He also thinks that it is fantastic that Sandar IL and Torkild Myhre are opening the hall, and providing volunteers to both activate the children and young people, and that they will help with the food service.

The only thing visitors have to bring themselves is good shoes, training clothes and a water bottle.

Children and young people should not think about food, because a free lunch in the form of sausages will be served here, and real estate agent Nordvik Sandefjord has promised to come by with both soft drinks and Easter sweets.
