A friend and neighbor of the deceased boy, Linnea Øygarden, says that the friends are badly affected by the accident.

On Sunday evening, Linnea Øygarden organized a memorial for the 19-year-old boy who died in the traffic accident in Nome on Saturday morning.
There were flowers and pictures on display. Several candles were also lit.
– It hasn’t sunk in yet, it probably takes some time to digest.
The boy was a neighbor of Øygarden. She describes him as a happy boy with an exuberant personality.
– He was always very good at cheering us up and making sure that everyone was involved.
Highway 36 was closed as a result of the commemoration. The police were also present to keep an eye out.

– Deeply tragic
The 19-year-old was originally from Vinje.

– Now my thoughts go to the family and all the relatives who are left behind.
He describes Vinje as a small local community where the vast majority of people know each other.
– It hits our whole society hard.
Head-on collision
It was on Saturday morning that the emergency services responded to reports of a traffic accident at the Sannerholt tunnel on national highway 36 in Nome.
The accident was a head-on collision with a total of three people involved.
A man in his late teens lost his life in the accident.
The two other people who were involved in the accident were taken to the Hospital in Telemark with unknown extent of damage. Both must have been conscious.
The two accident cars were thrown out on opposite sides of the road.
