– We can confirm that there has been a bomb threat on board, says Silje Glorvigen, press officer at Norwegian, to Aftenbladet.

She goes on to say that the plane has landed in Copenhagen. Dansk TV 2 has published a picture which is supposed to show a Norwegian plane being evacuated on the runway at Kastrup.

– Since the plane has turned around and will not land at Stavanger Airport, our duties are no longer valid, says operations manager Dag Steinkopf in the Sørvest police district to the newspaper.

He also confirms the bomb threat and refers to the Danish police. NTB has tried to get in touch with the police in Copenhagen, but has not yet received a response.

Comb fine

Press manager Lise Agerley Kûrstein at Kastrup Airport tells the Danish newspaper BT that they have the police, fire brigade and bomb squad present who are in the process of combing the plane.

The police in Copenhagen state at 19.20 that the plane has been emptied of passengers and that everyone is safe.

– The plane is being examined more closely for safety’s sake, the police write further in a message on X, formerly Twitter.

SAS aircraft also had to turn around

SAS tells Aftenbladet that they too had a flight on the way from Copenhagen to Sola which was asked to turn around after the bomb threat on the Norwegian flight.

– We had a flight that was going to Stavanger, but which has now turned around and is on its way back to Copenhagen, says Alexandra Lindgren Kaoukji, Head of Media Relations Denmark at SAS.

– It is the police who gave us instructions to do this, so they are the ones who have to answer questions about why, she says.

To the Danish BT, deputy police inspector Simon Hansen of the Copenhagen police says that the SAS plane was escorted by two F16 planes. He further states that there is still no indication that the bomb threat is real, but that it is a situation that they are taking seriously.
