Kristiansund, Kulturfabrikken | Latest: The Melodi Grand Prix party has been cancelled

--

If you haven’t managed to buy a ticket for this year’s Melodi Grand Prix party in Kulturfabrikken, it’s too late. The party has been cancelled.

– This is very abnormal, says Dag Inge Landbakk.

– But it is not financially sound to carry out when we have not sold a single ticket.

The rest of the ticket sales have gone on as normal, but no one has shown interest in the Melodi Grand Prix in Kulturfabrikken.

– We have had parties like this here before, and last year it was well attended. We can’t blame confirmations and changing weather either, because this is an event that always takes place at the same time in May, says Landbakk.

Boycott?

The reason for the weak interest is a Riddle.

– Is it a boycott? Are people going to watch it secretly at home? We wonder, says Landbakk.

The cancellation will not result in a financial loss for Kulturfabrikken, they were able to cancel in time and the event is a surplus project: An extra event they put on because it’s fun.

– This is something we want to build up over time, says Landbakk.
