BERGEN (Dagbladet): On Saturday evening, the city of Bergen is decorated for a party, ready to celebrate the TV industry and the year that has passed.

Prizes have been handed out, tears have been shed and laughter has been loose in Grieghallen.

Here are the winners

This year, the honorary award went to presenter Solveig Barstad (57). Barstad has, among other things, become a familiar face to many through “TV 2 helps you”, “Matkontrollen” and “Save my holiday”.

“TV 2 helps you” was the channel’s longest-running program, with its first broadcast in April 1994. Barstad has led the program since 2000. In 2022, the program was taken off the screen, and was then only seen on TV2.no.

– It’s very nice and quite simply a bit overwhelming actually, says Barstad to Dagbladet after receiving the award.

– Were you surprised?

– If you go around imagining that you are going to receive the honorary award, you have a serious problem, she replies with a laugh.

– I’m not quite ready to end it and summarize it completely. I’m not planning to retire anytime soon, but I’ve been very lucky and have been able to work with great people and with a lot of fun things, she says about her career.

Barstad says that it was extra great to receive the award, as “TV 2 helps you” has never received the award.

– I think the program has been important and I think we have raised Norwegian business to be a little more serious and better.

When she realized she was going to win, she got a little sweaty, she says.

She will celebrate the award with some food and a glass of champagne.

When asked if there will be a comeback in front of the camera, she replies:

– Will have to wait and see.
