Fortnite achieved massive success when the game returned to its original map last year. PUBG Studios has clearly noticed that, and now Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds will also go back to where it all began.
On May 14th, players can head to the Erangel map as it looked in 2017. PC players will get in first, while those on consoles will have to wait until May 23rd.
Erangel Classic, as the developer calls the map, wipes out the adjustments made over the past seven years. Buildings and terrain will be different, but so will things like weather. For example, a reunion awaits with rain and fog that lasts throughout the match.
The user interface is also sent back to the past, with for example older versions of maps and fonts.
