Moonlight vocalist Damiano David has broken up with his girlfriend Giorgia Soleri

Moonlight star Damiano David (24) says that it is over with his girlfriend Giorgia Soleri (27).

The Italian Eurovision winner made the announcement to her 5.2 million followers on InstaStory on Thursday evening.

The announcement of the break-up comes after a video has been circulated on social media in the past 24 hours, in which the rocker kisses another woman inside what appears to be a nightclub.

«I am very sorry that this video came out. That’s not how we wanted to handle this situation, and that’s my fault», writes David.

Rejects adultery

He says that he and his ex-fiancé agreed to break up a few days ago.

«So there has been no kind of betrayal», writes the vocalist.

The two have been a couple since 2017 and engaged for the past four years. They have lived together in Rome.

Soleri is a well-known model in her native Italy, where her boyfriend and the rest of Måneskin won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021.

David is now asking for fans’ respect for their privacy.

«I hope this does not damage Giorgia’s image», he adds.

She has not commented on the breakup.
