When we met the popular TV profile in connection with the premiere, he was clear in his speech: He himself could never participate in the program.
– I’m far too out of control for that. Also, I go around thinking that I know people, but the truth is that I’m a bit naive. I have a thought that everyone only means well, Truls admits with a wry smile.

The door is still open for a future reality show – when circumstances permit.
– My partner and I have already taken part in a type of reality show, that is to say a singing competition where we won with a Christmas song (“Norway’s new megahit”, editor’s note).
– You should never say never with regard to something in the future, but it has been the case that I have had enough to do with my own productions. Then I also have two children and there are limited hours in the day, Truls points out.

One of the main ingredients in the innovative program “The Game” is injustice.
– Injustice is one of the things that engages me the most. I’m not a guy who gets angry or upset easily, but when it comes to injustice, I can get pretty fired up. Then I sign up, and I can’t keep my mouth shut. If there’s anything that can tip me off the stick, it’s that.
– At the same time, it is important to remember that this is a game, and the intention is that it should be unfair, emphasizes Truls.
– When I see Danby Choi being unfair in “The Game”, I don’t like him. But I’m the idiot, because he’s only playing “The Game”!

He himself considers himself to be honest, and that is also a value he values highly in others. In meeting people in both work and everyday life, there are certain qualities he is constantly drawn towards.

There were also some of the same qualities he fell for in his partner Charlotte Smith (36) in 2017.
– Charlotte is very talented. She is both good at singing and very funny – which is a good combination. In addition, I value her joy, humor, honesty and loyalty. She is extremely loyal and she makes me feel like it’s just us. She’s completely raw about that, says Truls with warmth in her voice.

Daughters Eva and Annie
In 2019, daughter Eva (4) was born and a year and a half later Annie (3) completed the family. It has been life-changing for the 51-year-old.
– Before, I was happy with the good life that I referred to as good food and drink. I still love that, but it’s not that dangerous compared to the time I get to hang out with the kids.
– Being a good father to my girls is my most important priority. Becoming a father is the coolest thing I’ve experienced in my entire life, beams the dedicated father of two.
