Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s birthday party: – The young, royal guests

On Thursday and Friday, Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s (18) official day will finally be celebrated, and on Wednesday it was announced who will be present.

The 18-year-old gets the pleasure of being celebrated twice – both during the party event at Deichman Bjørvika in Oslo, and the gala dinner at the castle.

– I will not

On that occasion, several royals come from Europe, including the younger generation of princes and princesses.

– The younger guard is well represented among the royals, which is not so strange. There are many of these Ingrid Alexandra will rule at the same time, and she herself has expressed that she appreciates that they are many peers with good contact, explains Se og Hørs royal house expert, Caroline Vagle.

According to the Royal House’s website, Crown Princess Victoria (44) of Sweden and Prince Daniel (48) are accompanied by their two children, Princess Estelle (10) and Prince Oscar (6).

– It was still a bit surprised to see Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar on the list. They are very close to the Norwegian Crown Prince’s family, but they are very young! However, it emphasizes the very good relationship, says Vagle about the guest list.

Crown Princess Victoria is one of Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s sponsors, together with King Felipe (54) of Spain and Crown Prince Frederik (54) of Denmark.

The latter comes with his wife, Crown Princess Mary (50), who was in Oslo last Friday. The Spanish king, on the other hand, arrives without his wife Queen Letizia (49), and the children Princess Sofia (15) and Crown Princess Leonor (16), who became Europe’s youngest crown princess at the age of eight.

Crown Princess Leonor thus becomes the first reigning queen since the 19th century. Here in Norway, too, our own princess is historic: Princess Ingrid Alexandra is the first Norwegian female heir to the throne.

Also on the guest list are ex-Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece (55) and his wife Marie-Chantal (53) who come with three of their children Princess Maria-Olympia (25), Prince Constantine (23) and Prince Aristidis-Stavros (13) .

So does Prince Kyril (57) of Belgium with his three children Princess Mafalda Cecilia (27), Princess Olimpia (26) and Prince Tassilo (20) and ex-wife Rosario (53). Both of these families are close friends of the Norwegian Crown Prince’s family, according to Vagle.

– Both the Dutch and Belgian royal couple bring their crown princess daughters, who are the same age as Ingrid Alexandra. In that way, it will be a historic evening, Vagle explains, and adds:

– Even though they know each other well, this is the first time the future queens are going to an official gala together – and with tiaras!

The Dutch princess and future heir to the throne, Crown Princess Catharina-Amalia, turned 18 in December last year. The Crown Princess made headlines last year, when she chose to renounce the apana.

After her 18th birthday, she could expect to receive an annual increase of around NOK 16 million.
