Norwegians buy classic Porsche like never before – Document

--

Porsche Classic Center Son is one of only four workshops in the world authorized as a dealer of classic Porsches.

Now they are almost empty of cars, writes Broom.no.

The used car market shows that there is a great demand for cars with petrol and diesel engines. It may seem that Norwegian customers see the value of classic cars to a greater extent than before.

– The challenge is to get enough cars in. Many cars are sold before we have time to advertise. Customers come into the store and ask if we have “anything in store”. Right now we only have three cars inside. It’s simply almost empty here, says seller Tor Arne Klopaas.

What is considered a classic Porsche are the cars that are at least 15 years old. In Son, they now sell cars that are older than 2012.

This year, among other things, the sixth generation of the 911, which came in 2004 and has internal code 997, was included in the “Classic family”, writes the website.

Now the Porsche salesman would like to buy more cars.

– We like to hear from owners of nice cars, who are thinking about selling or exchanging their Porsche. We offer both intermediary sales and the outright purchase of cars, Klopaas points out.

Classic Porsches generally hold up well in price.
