(Tractor): A quarter of the tractor year 2024 has passed, and now you can really start talking about trends. The decline in deliveries is flattening out, and the 77 tractors that were missing after three months have been reduced to 46. This agrees well with the description given by industry players when we ask about the temperature in the tractor market.

Only the four largest brands managed a double-digit number of registrations in April. The big suppliers get an ever-larger share of the cake, for the four biggest brands the market share in April was a whopping 82.55 per cent. Deutz-Fahr and Claas, which fought for fifth and sixth place on the list, have a decline of 36 units compared to the same period last year. It is a big decline, and the figures now show that so far this year the dark green ones, i.e. Deutz-Fahr, have a market share of 3.45 per cent, while the light green tractors from Claas have a market share of 3.33 per cent.

John Deere once again registered the most tractors, and received plates on 82 new ones in April. This gives a market share of almost 32 per cent in April. It appears that it is difficult to threaten the market leadership position of the yellow-greens, which so far this year are 80 tractors ahead of arch-rival Valtra, and 56 tractors ahead of Massey Ferguson, which is currently in second place.

Massey Ferguson managed 52 registrations in April, which is up from 36 in April 2023 They thus get second place. 173 registrations so far this year, means that MF is also the second largest brand so far in 2024. At the same time last year, MF had 149 registrations.

Fendt registered 41 tractors in April, which means that the total is now 107. The market share so far this year is 13.19 per cent, and 15.95 per cent in April. Last year at the same time, the number was 155 registrations, which means that the brand is 48 tractors behind last year.

Valtra registered 37 tractors in April, and was ranked fourth in the registration statistics with a market share of 14.4 per cent. So far this year, Valtra has 149 registrations, a decrease from 185 in the same period last year. Valtra is unlikely to be satisfied with that, and we are guessing they have higher ambitions and that they will come back stronger.

Of the mid-sized brands, coming Claas best out in April. But they only deliver seven tractors in April, a halving from 14 in April last year. Looking at the first four months of the year as a whole, the brand has received plates on 27 tractors, a sharp decrease from 48 in the same period last year.

Deutz-Fahr gets just six registrations in April, but keeps the place ahead of Claas with 28 in total this year. This gives the brand a 2.33 percent market share in April, and a 3.45 percent market share so far this year.

New Holland managed five registrations in April, and has so far delivered 20 new registrations this year. Case IH managed four tractors in April. This gives the CNHi brands a combined market share of less than 3.6 per cent in April, and around 3.2 per cent in total so far this year.

Kubota manages to get plates on five tractors in April as well, and thus stands with 17 registrations so far this year. Last year at the same time, signs were placed on 8 Kubota tractors, and a doubling of the number has been neatly delivered

Signs were also placed on two pieces. Lovol tractors2 Solistwo pcs. Tym and two pcs. Kramer also received signs in April. One solitary copy of the mini loader Multione also got tractor plates, as well as one Kärcherone McCormick and one single Antonio Carraro. One Holder was also registered, as well as one Landinithe first in 2024.
