Farligeprodukter.no reports a recall for Apple’s old 5-watt charger for the iPhone.
– The USB charger can overheat and pose a safety risk, the recall states.
For the first time on the iPad
If you have this charger, you are advised to stop using it.
Apple started the recall of the charger in question in 2014, but there are probably still a good number of people who have it in their homes.
– We encourage our customers to exchange the old device with a new device as soon as possible by following the exchange process below, Apple writes on its website.
You can determine if your iPhone charger is affected by the recall by looking at the label between the tabs on your device. If it says “Model A1300”, it is affected by the recall.
A newer charger is marked “A1400” and is not affected by the recall.
