The visit, at the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is to demonstrate solidarity with women, men and children affected by the war, and is also a continuation of her work to help survivors of conflict-related sexual violence.

The Duchess (59) met the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska.
Sophie, who is a full-time working member of the royal family, also delivered a private message to them in a letter from the king, according to Sky News.
She met people displaced by the war and visited the site of a mass grave in Bucha where the victims of the Russian occupation were buried at the start of the war in April 2022.
