Tdid you row the straight, short bob was out of trend? Then you need to think again. The hairstyle makes a comeback in all different variations year after year – and 2024 is no exception.
We saw it on Hailey Bieber this autumn, and Jennifer Lopez during Haute-Couture fashion week in Paris.
But there is one bob in particular that is in the wind this spring – namely “Princess Bob”, or princess bob in Norwegian.
Inspired by none other than Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece and Denmark (27).

With the characteristic “sharp” edge, it stands out somewhat from what we see characterizing the general fashion image this year – such as the Italian bob, a cut that unites beautiful Italy with seamless and elegant curls.
Eirik Thorsen, creative director at Adam og Eva, nevertheless predicts that the princess bob will feature strongly in the fashion scene:
– We always want to see variations of the bob, and Princess Maria-Olympia’s clip is certainly one we will see a lot of in the future, Thorsen tells KK.
– Basically, this is a super classic “One Length Bob” where everything is cut to a horizontal line that is placed just below the jawbone.
The hairstyle oozes elegance and confidence in style, but is somewhat more technically demanding than it appears, Thorsen believes.
Therefore, it requires a hairdresser who knows his stuff.
– Getting it to lie perfectly and, not least, choosing the right length and technique in relation to the thickness of the hair and face shape, not everyone will be able to master, he concludes.
