Despite several attempts, there was never any romance between Sandra Instebø (31) and Trond Weiseth (35).
Criticized: – Old-fashioned swagger
In “Married at First Sight”, the couple met for the first time at the altar, after being matched by a panel of experts.
It turned out that the expert panel was wrong, and in the last ceremony of the season both choose to give up the marriage.
– Feels right
In the ceremony, participants can choose to either stay or leave. If they choose to leave, both the relationship and the experiment end.
During the previous ceremony, Instebø chose to leave, while Weiseth chose to stay. This meant that they both had to try for another week.
In the last time together, the couple showed some form of improvement, but it was still not enough for them to dare to bet on each other.
During the last ceremony, Instebø says that she no longer had any hope for them as a couple.
– It has been awkward (…) I felt that I tried really hard to get that ball going, but when I didn’t get anything back, I had nothing more to give.

Challenges
Although the couple were married at first sight, romance never developed between them. The couple had several challenges during the season, and struggled with communication and a lack of common interests, among other things.
There were tears when Instebø and Weiseth disagreed about the choice in the previous ceremony, but they were both determined to give everything they had in the last week.
The spark was never lit for the married couple, and the wedding rings thus had to be put back in the box.
It is still unknown which choice the remaining couples will make in the final ceremony. Simen Kummeneje (33) and Rie Nygaard (34) have already chosen to leave.
Choosing to leave: – Simple decision
Parting as friends
Weiseth expresses that he gave more than he got back in the last period of the relationship. Still, there are no sour faces.
– It was hard to deal with when we backed away from each other and had to figure things out. It’s been a rollercoaster, so it’s kind of nice that we end it on a good note, says Weiseth in the episode.
Instebø is also happy that they have a friendship.
– It feels right. We part as friends. We have been through so much good things together, says Instebø.
