Alexandra Rotan shares what you didn’t see on TV.

The competition is starting to heat up in “Kompani Lauritzen” with the final just a couple of weeks away, and in Saturday’s episode it was artist Alexandra Rotan (27) who had to leave the program.

– Felt very empty

Rotan has undoubtedly shown willpower and courage in this year’s season, but unfortunately it came with some injuries. Recently, the Keiino vocalist shared some glimpses from “Kompani Lauritzen” that did not appear on TV.

– Was demanding

On her Instagram story, she shared, among other things, that she had received everything from large bags under her eyes and mouth sores to some serious bruises.

– I get bruises very easily, so they already showed from day one. Fortunately, it didn’t hurt too much, but it looked a lot more dramatic than it was, she says to Dagbladet.

The 27-year-old does not hide that it was both a physical and mental strain to be in there.

– It was much more demanding than I had thought. You live in constant ignorance of what awaits you, and many of the exercises we did were very physically demanding. We became some real badasses in there, and had a real ride! But we only benefit from that!

– Became some tears

But the artist reveals that she was allowed to call her family every three days. Something she thought was both nice and difficult.

– It was so good to be able to talk to the family. At the same time, it was difficult to recount everything that had happened, because you end up in a kind of bubble there, where you have zero contact with the outside world. So there were a few tears, but it was a good motivational boost to be able to talk to them for an hour.

– Hurt and very, very sad

Communications manager at TV 2 Siril Vatne Meling was able to explain that there were certain rules on when the participants could and could not call home.

– The participants do not get access by phone until after the first fog match, i.e. six days into the recording. After that, they are allowed to use the phone for one hour every three days. Should situations arise where it is critical that someone gets access by phone, this is done via the commander, and this is taken into account depending on how time-critical it is, she says.

In conclusion, Rotan says that she is incredibly happy that she dared to be part of “Kompani Lauritzen”.

– It was good for me to have a little break from hectic touring everyday life, and focus a little on my inner self and my thoughts about myself. And that resulted in new creativity and a new lease on life.
