– The aim has been to create a demand in the market. We have been very successful with that.

Almost two weeks ago, the SABER Awards were held in London and Trigger walked away with a number of awards, including agency of the year in the Nordic region.

Publicis MSL walked away with gold, but so did Hydro.

Hydro took home first place in the business-to-business category “Energy and Natural Resources”.

Hydro was not present in London during the award ceremony, but now they have celebrated at the office.

Hydro wins the award for its strategic branding and positioning work, where the company has succeeded in taking a leading position as a partner for influential designers and other trendsetters in the industry.

At the same time, Hydro has worked actively over time to shape the market for greener aluminum and increase margins and earnings for solutions within so-called low-carbon aluminium.

– Four years ago we set ourselves the goal of establishing a new visual brand identity to shape the demand for our greener products Hydro CIRCAL and Hydro REDUXA. The goal has been to create a demand in the market. We have been very successful in that, says Hilde Kallevig, head of positioning and branding at Hydro, in a press release.

Through the concept “When experts unite”, Hydro has collaborated more closely with trendsetters and influential designers to position Hydro as a preferred partner for decision-makers in design and architecture.

– Receiving this award is recognition of the value of strategic positioning and communication as an important part of shaping demand and building new market segments, also for more traditional industry players such as Hydro, says Kallevig.

Last week also marked the end of Milan Design Week, where the Hydro CIRCAL 100R exhibition attracted thousands of visitors.

During the exhibition in Milan, Hydro challenged seven world-renowned designers to design furniture made from Hydro CIRCAL 100R, the world’s first aluminum produced on an industrial scale from only recycled consumer scrap.
