(Hamar Arbeiderblad): The accident happened at the intersection Kjonerudvegen/Gartnervegen just after 10 p.m.
In the two cars there were one and three people respectively.
The following morning, operations manager at the police in Innlandet, Per Solberg, stated that everyone was taken to hospital as a result of the accident; two to Hamar, one to Gjøvik, while the last one was taken in for a check.
According to Solberg, no high speed was reported in connection with the collision. All those involved were also conscious when the emergency services arrived.
It all happened as a result of a breach of the duty to give way.
On Monday afternoon, police prosecutor Håvard Hopperstad Hildeskor at the Innlandet police district confirmed that one person died as a result of the accident.
– I can confirm that an elderly woman has died after the traffic accident, says Hildeskor to HA.
He further says that an autopsy has been decided on the person concerned.
– The police will also continue to investigate more closely what has happened. However, it is an early phase of the investigation, so no definite answer will come yet, says the police attorney.
