In Norway, there is hardly a used market for the Apple Vision Pro. It is a bit unusual even if the product has not been launched in any country other than the USA.

There are many to choose from on the US used market

One way to find out how a relatively new product is doing is to examine the used prices. Apple’s products usually command far higher used prices than the competitors, especially the iPhone. But what about the expensive Vision Pro headset after the February 2 launch? It’s not going so well, to put it mildly. Because not only are there many to choose from, but the prices are far below what Apple charges.

A drop in value of 25 percent after three months in the consumer electronics market is not outside the norm. That’s the big thing the number AVPs listed on marketplaces that are scary.

Incredibly low prices

A quick look on eBay reveals that you can get the headset at a bargain price: a 1TB model went for 3200 dollars, a package including a $200 travel bag and $500 worth of AppleCare Plus. It’s a very good buy all the time Apple takes 5000 dollars for the package. At today’s exchange rate, it is NOK 55,000.

It doesn’t get any better (for Apple) on American Swappa, where the 1TB model goes for only 3,600 dollars and 256GB models can be bought for just over 2,800 dollars – Apple charges 3,899 dollars and 3,499 dollars respectively for these.

Knowing that I could have saved several hundred dollars and gotten the highest storage configuration, AppleCare Plus, and a storage case is especially painful.

When the headset will be launched in countries other than Apple is not known. The company has several times talked about China being next, but the product has not yet been launched there.
