The Turkish justice condemned, on Friday, Ahlem Al-Bashir, the author of the terrorist attack perpetrated on the rue Istiklal in Istanbul on November 2022, to life in prison. Et ce, lors de l’audience de prononciation du verdict devant le 13e penal tribunal d’Istanbul, à laquelle ont participée 5 des 36 accususes, including Ahlem Al-Bashir, qui a perpétré l’attentat pour le account de l’organisation terroriste YPG/PKK.
À la fin de l’audience, à laquelle d’autres accuses ont participié via la technology de videoconférence, l’instance judiciaire a rendu sa sentence. Pour des accusations de “violation de l’unité et de l’integrity territoriale de l’État”, de meurtre intentionall d’un enfant par explosion intentionale et de “meurtre avec prémeditation par explosion intentionale”, le tribunal a condamné l’auteur de l’attack terrorist, Ahlem Al-Bashir, à 7 convictions d’imprisonment à vie.
Elsewhere, the tribunal sentenced Al-Bashir to a total of 1,794 years in prison for “attempted murder with premeditation” and “non-authorized possession or exchange of dangerous products”. She was also sentenced to a fine of 22,000 Turkish livres (approximately 675 dollars).
