Many of you have probably already had the opportunity to play Songs of Conquest, simply because the game has been available in Early Access format for the past two years, but if instead you’ve been waiting for it to launch in full before you throw yourself into it, the good news is that the time has finally come.

The developer Lavapotion has revealed that Songs of Conquest will leave Early Access on May 20, and that the game will instead be converted to a full 1.0 edition. This update will not only include a number of improvements to the core of the game, but also a brand new Barya campaign, the fourth in the series, which explores the trading nation and delves deeper into its history and where the love of gold and gunpowder comes from.

In connection with the transition from Early Access to 1.0, game designer Carl Toftfelt has stated: “We’re very proud of how far the game has come through Early Access, and we wouldn’t be here now without the incredible feedback and support from the players who have already thrown themselves into our humble strategy game. The content launching with 1.0 will really expand what Songs of Conquest can offer – we hope our existing fans will love it, and we can’t wait to invite new Wielders into the world of Aerbor in May!”

Check out the new trailer below to get a taste of what’s to come before Songs of Conquest 1.0 launches on May 20th.
