The German’s name is on the list of candidates United are considering, writes reliable Matt Lawton in The Times.
It is not the first time that journalists who follow the German coach closely have written about the link between Tuchel and United.

Christian Falk is the journalist who follows Bayern Munich most closely for the major newspaper Bild.
On Friday, Falk wrote that Erik ten Hag is among the candidates Bayern Munich is considering to take over for Thomas Tuchel.
In that respect, it could be a rather spectacular exchange between United and Bayern.
The 50-year-old German has previously coached major clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, PSG and Chelsea, and won the Champions League with the London club before being fired in 2022.
– Now Tuchel will be keen on a return to the Premier League, writes Lawton.
The Times journalist adds that no decision is likely to be made until United’s new sporting director is in place, and United are still working to bring Dan Ashforth to the club as soon as possible.
