YMCA OSLO-BRANN 0–0 (Match in progress)

EKEBERG (Nettavisen): Bård Finne was sent to the shower after he stamped KFUM’s goalkeeper Emil Gundelach Ødegaard in the face after just under half an hour. The referee initially showed the yellow card, but after a VAR check he changed the decision to a red card.

As a result, Finne was sent off.

The judge’s decision made TV 2 expert Morten Langli see red.

– Bård Finne has full control of the ball, and then the goalkeeper comes in far too late. It’s horrible goalkeeping. And then Bård Finne will be expelled for that? Who creates a dangerous situation? Is it Bård Finne or the goalkeeper?

Ødegaard had to leave the field and was replaced by 16-year-old Henri Sørlie, born in 2007.

Yaw Amankwah has a slightly different view of the expulsion.

– I think it could set a dangerous precedent if you allow it to go in that way. I am absolutely certain that Bård Finne’s intention here is to get to the ball first. If you allow it to go in that way quite wildly with the knobs so high up, then you open yourself up to quite a few more head injuries, he says.

During the break, Sivert Heltne Nilsen says that he is satisfied with how the team reacted to the red card.

– We have been waiting for this opportunity, he tells TV 2 during the break.
