The woman who died in the fall was Dutch

The woman who died after a fall accident at Beitostølen was Dutch, the police inform on Twitter.

– The woman who died in a fall accident last night was a 52-year-old Dutch citizen, the police write.

Municipal crisis team has been notified.

It was Friday night that the police received a report of a person who had fallen from a mountain near Beitostølen.

The accident happened in Mefjellet which is 1386 meters above sea level.

Rescue helicopters, air ambulances, the emergency services and other voluntary resources all assisted in the work, but the woman’s life could not be saved.

The deceased woman’s next of kin were at the scene when the accident took place.
