Jens Stoltenberg says that several NATO members are concerned about the increasing Russian activity on allied territory.
– These events are part of an intensifying campaign that Russia continues to carry out across the entire Euro-Atlantic area, including on the alliance’s territory, says the NATO chief.
Stoltenberg singles out the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Great Britain in particular, and points to sabotage, acts of violence, cyber attacks and disinformation campaigns as examples of activities Russia has carried out.
At the same time, Stoltenberg says that they stand in solidarity with the affected allies, and that they will work to deal with the actions.
– We condemn Russia’s behavior and we encourage Russia to uphold its international obligations, as the allies do theirs. Russia’s actions will not deter allies from continuing to support Ukraine, says the press release Stoltenberg shared on X Thursday evening.
