In the early hours of Tuesday, the police received a report that a car had driven into a house and that several people had been stabbed in the Hainault area of London.
That’s what British police write in an update on X.
“At this point, the suspect is said to have gone on to attack others in the public and two police officers,” the police write.
The police said on Tuesday afternoon that a 13-year-old boy died from his injuries after the attack.
– He was taken to hospital after being stabbed, and unfortunately died shortly afterwards, says police officer Stuart Bell according to Sky News.
The police said earlier on Tuesday that there was no ongoing threat to the public, and that the incident does not appear to be terrorism.
A video is circulating on social media showing a man in a yellow hoodie being met by the police, while holding a large stabbing weapon. The video is not verified.
The condition of the injured is currently unknown.
– This must have been a frightening event for those involved. I know the rest of the community here will feel shocked, says police officer Ade Adelekan in a statement.
