This is reported, among other things, by the Dutch AD.

Liverpool are thus a big step closer to the heir to successful manager Jürgen Klopp, who is stepping down this season.

The newspaper writes on Friday evening that Feyenoord and Liverpool have had “many and good discussions about Slot in recent days”.

AD also reports that there are only a few final details remaining and the actual signing of the contract before the 45-year-old is ready for Liverpool and that the English big club hopes that everything will be in order this weekend.

In the last 24 hours, a Slot transfer to Liverpool has appeared more and more like a poorly kept secret.

Last night, the Dutchman himself confirmed talks between the clubs and did not hide that he wanted to change pastures.

– So I’m sitting on the fence. We have to wait until an agreement is reached, but I have full faith that they will manage it, said the Feyenoord manager.

Earlier on Friday, Jürgen Klopp referred to Slot “as a very good man”.

The Athletic has written that it costs a solid amount of money to buy him free. According to the website, a bid of NOK 120 million was rejected.

Dutch De Telegraaf claims that Feyenoord can demand up to 15 million euros for the manager, which corresponds to close to NOK 180 million.
