Spotify states that “Cowboy Carter” is the album that has been streamed the most in one day so far in 2024, reports Deadline. It is also the first country record to achieve this feat.

The star’s eighth studio album is also her biggest to date, according to Amazon Music, with the most streams on the first day of any of her releases. It also has the most first-day streams ever for a country album by a female artist.

“Cowboy Carter” has been praised by critics, but also angered fans, as five songs are missing from the vinyl versions and four songs are missing from the CD editions. It is not unusual for artists to adjust the track list to be included at the last minute, while vinyl pressings are ordered many months in advance.

Beyoncé has brought along a number of guest artists. She didn’t just settle for famous colleagues like Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton, but also highlighted black, lesser-known country artists like Brittney Spencer, Tiera Kennedy, Reyna Roberts, Shaboozey, Tanner Adell and Willie Jones.
