– A crime scene investigation has been carried out and we have seized a firearm, says police attorney Gina Salvesen in a statement to the press.

She further says that the police are working on several investigative steps, including camera surveillance and witness interviews.

– There are still no arrests in the case, Salvesen told NTB just after 11 o’clock.

This means that one or more perpetrators are still at large.

The police state that they want to get in touch with people who have been near Grønland Torg, especially in the time between 2 and 4 a.m. to Sunday.

The shots came from outside

A little after 3 o’clock, the police received several calls about shots fired in the area. When they arrived at the scene, they found the injured man inside a kebab restaurant at Grønland torg. He was conscious when the police found him.

– The man was taken care of by health personnel on the spot and has been sent to hospital. He is described as seriously injured, incident leader Annika Engebretsen in the Oslo police district told NTB.

According to witnesses, the shots probably came from outside and towards the injured man in his 20s. Both employees and customers were in the restaurant when the shots were fired.

Probably not by chance

So far, no one has been arrested, and the police have no concrete suspects either. They do not rule out that there may have been more perpetrators.

The police suspect that the injured man is not a random victim.

– As we see it, it is most likely a relationship between the parties, said Engebretsen, without wanting to go into details.

– We investigate broadly and into several environments. As the police assess the situation, there is no danger to third parties, said a statement from the police on Sunday.
