It was a heavy, heavy evening at Color Line Stadion when the scoreboard eventually read 1-4 to Raufoss.
The first blow came even before kick-off, when it was considered that Markus Karlsbakk was not ready to play the match after all. The young, local left-back Sebastian Berntsen thus had to step in on the wing, and David Johannsson went down as inside runner. Simen Vatne Haram was also not ready for the match today, and Amidou Diop started the match with youngster Thomas Gulbrandsen as reserve in the stopper position. As many as four players without a professional contract started on the bench, and all the outfield players eventually got minutes on the pitch.
Raufoss started the match best, but Håkon Hammer sent us into the lead after 24 minutes, in a period where we had come more into the match.
Nevertheless, it did not take long before Raufoss had turned it around. After 35 minutes, Jan Inge Lynum scores for Raufoss, and the match was turned around ten minutes later through Adrian Hansen. Raufoss thus went into the break with a lead.
In the break there were more injury problems. Nikolai Hopland had to give up, and the promising young Thomas Gulbrandsen entered the pitch for his debut in the Obosligaen. And he wasn’t going to be the only one.
Ten minutes into the second half, Raufoss increased their lead with goalscorer Oliver Rotihaug. Shortly afterwards, Martin Ramsland was replaced as stopper. With fifteen minutes remaining, both Kristian Lonebu and John Norvik were substituted for their debuts. The youngsters are in a challenging situation, but it will be difficult today, and Raufoss eventually wins 4-1 at Color Line Stadion. A terrible result and a very disappointing match for the tango jerseys.
