After the event calendar disappeared from the paper edition in the autumn of 2023, many regular readers have pointed out that it is not as easy to follow small and large activities in the local area.

The overview in the online newspaper appeared to them to be less accessible, and not appealing in the same way.

Volunteers and enthusiasts behind meeting places and experiences have for several years been used to registering their events digitally, in order to get the information out to as many people as possible. But they too have been clear that HA’s popular service has potential for improvement.

Unique collaboration

– We have been looking forward to this!

It is a proud couple who can now show off the result of many months of driving together and tailoring.

Director Håvard Røste in Kilde’s Tek department and editor-in-chief of HA Katrine Strøm wanted to offer a notice board that was not only nicer than the old one. The ambition has been to gather the world’s best overview of what happens on Hedmarken, day by day.

They have achieved that.

Because behind the new HA-Tavla lies a truly ground-breaking work and unique collaboration. As the first newspaper, HA has fully integrated its digital calendar with the major public players in the region: Kulturnett Innlandet, the municipalities of Hamar, Løten, Ringsaker, Stange, as well as tourism in the region. Under the hood is a large database which is sorted by the web solution Simpleview.

One entry, many views

Events that are registered and approved on one of the websites above will thus be available to the public whether they apply on ha.no, via the news app, or on their own municipality’s portal.

– Events that are open to everyone are free to enter. Then you just need a suitable picture, a good title, an understandable text about the content and information about when and where it takes place, explains Røste.

It is also possible to enter more relevant information in the self-service solution. That several good forces work together will ensure faster approval. Should errors slip through, more people will be able to correct them.

Ticket sales services can also register current concerts and cultural events in what will be the region’s largest what’s happening search. Here, permanent residents and visitors can find what suits them among over several thousand large and small events during the year.

The collaboration partners are happy to have the largest regional newspaper join the team, because it means that many more benefit and enjoy the resources they use to keep their overviews broad and up-to-date.

Are you curious to see how nice the solution has become? Enter tavla.ha.no in your browser, find Tavla in the menu at the top of the online newspaper or press the three lines on the right at the bottom of the HA app and select Board in A-Z. It contains everything you need to know to enter correctly.

– HA-Tavla is still an editorial service, and we retain the right to stop or edit posts that violate our guidelines, says Strøm.

– Spread the word!

– We combine all “small” forces to become the best in Norway! All surfaces have been given a new design, and in an uncluttered landscape of big and small, amateurs and professionals, we do one data capture where the user chooses and where the organizer does not have to do the same job several times, summarizes the project group, which has had several meetings along the way.

Now it remains to make the cultural calendar even better known, and get more people to register open events that people in Hamar, Ringsaker, Stange and Løten should know about.

– Spread the word, encourage the partners.
