HK Norway will meet Virke at Riksmekleren on 28 April, if there is no agreement, HK Norway will withdraw its members from TRN at Oslo Airport, Flesland and Værnes. As a result, the duty-free sales will close at these locations.

Mediation deadline
Mediation starts on Sunday 28 April at 10.00. If HK in Norway and Virke do not agree before the deadline expires at midnight on the night of 30 April, there will be a strike from the beginning of working hours on Tuesday 30 April. In recent years, it has often been mediated well beyond the deadline, and this may happen this time as well.

Which companies will be taken out in a possible strike?
You can find the overview of which companies are withdrawn in the first strike withdrawal at the bottom of this case.

In addition to TRN, HK Norway warns that a great many stores in Norgesgruppen and Coop will be taken out. These are well-known stores such as Meny, Kiwi and Coop Extra.

HK Norway also has strong clubs also within the building supply chains. Here, HK announces that they will withdraw a number of Byggmakker and Løvenskiold.

The sample includes just over 4,256 HK members distributed across businesses across the country.

We take the companies where we have members and fighting power, says union leader Christopher Beckham.

HK Norway believes that people will notice a strike from day one.

Our members work in shops we all see and use every day. Many will probably notice that when the local Coop store or the entire Taxfree at Gardermoen, bars says Beckham

The reason for the breach
HK Norway’s most important demands in these negotiations are increased purchasing power, a proper competence reform and an increased allowance for Sundays. HK Norway feels that the employer’s proposals would make the working conditions for employees in the merchandise trade worse, and that the employees would lose purchasing power.

I feel that there is no will to meet our demands. Then we have nothing more to do heresaid HK’s confederation leader Christopher Beckham after the break with Virke was a fact.
