– It is nice to now be able to launch this solution that fills a space in the range that customers have requested, and we are sure that this will benefit our customers, says Jonas Jalmerbrandt, product manager at Weber.

The new EnveoVent systems are built according to the principle of two-stage sealing, which means that you have a ventilated and draining air gap that separates the weather skin itself from the support structure. Plastered, ventilated facade systems have been well established on the Norwegian market since the beginning of the 2000s and provide good protection against moisture penetration in the outer wall.

Moisture in external walls is a common cause of damage, and a warmer and wetter climate places higher demands on our buildings than before, and this is where the new EnveoVent system comes in as a good addition.

Low weight and faster assembly

One of the most important components in a ventilated facade system with plaster is the plaster board itself.

The new product is used in the EnveoVent systems Weber wp plate. The new plates have a low weight and are very easy to adapt and install.

The new system provides new opportunities on the construction site and reduces the physical workload, this is due to the low weight of the new Weber wp plate. Jalmerbrandt points out that the new solution also makes it very easy, due to fewer moments during assembly, and points out in particular that the new boards are just as light and workable as, for example, plasterboard.

From wooden houses to brick houses

Both EnveoVent Flex and EnveoVent Robust can be used in most types of buildings across the country, both new construction and rehabilitation. Both systems have been developed to meet modern building projects’ requirements for durability and adaptability. The main difference between the two lies in the specific areas of use.

EnveoVent Flex is a more cost-effective solution and is well suited to situations where quick installation is a priority. This solution consists of only pre-mixed plaster products that have a shorter curing and drying time.

Weber is also launching the EnveoVent Robust system, which is more impact-resistant and ideal for demanding conditions or when a stronger facade is required.

The new systems make it possible to go from a wooden house to a “brick house”.

– Wooden construction is very strong in Norway with long traditions, but we see a growing interest in converting to brick houses. The new EnveoVent system has been developed to meet this growing trend in the market. This trend is partly due to maintenance, and we see that many choose this type of solution because of its ease of maintenance compared to a wooden facade, says Jalmerbrandt.
