– He is cooled but alive, says Fuglaas.

Apart from this, the man should be in good condition and is now being cared for by health personnel.

It was the night of Wednesday that a search operation was launched for a missing man in his 70s at Herre i Bamble. The man had last been seen at his own residence on Tuesday evening.

The first report about the case was sent out by the police at 00:47. The police eventually also came out with a description of the man.

The search operation continued at full strength until 06:00, when the man was found.

Many volunteers

TA’s photographer who has been on site throughout the night can state that there has been a lot of crew on the move. The police helicopter was sent up, and towards the end the SeaKing helicopter was also involved in the search.

The Scouts’ Emergency Preparedness Group South-East (SBG SØ) also participated, and was out with a crew all night.

The Telemark Red Cross aid corps states that they had 12 crews out searching for the missing person. There were crews from both Porsgrunn, Skien and Bamble Red Cross.

The man was found by a crew from Norwegian Rescue Dogs.
