On Sunday afternoon, the police responded to a violent incident at a night club on Solsiden. They report that on X/Twitter. According to the report, one person has suffered facial injuries.

– There has been a fight inside one of the pubs there. We have spoken to the victim, but have not received information about who the perpetrator is, so we are looking into it a bit, said operations manager Tobias Liaklev Andersen in Trøndelag police district at 5pm on Sunday.

Sent all available patrols

He said that there were a lot of people on Solsiden on Sunday afternoon, and that the police patrol that went to the scene of violence was notified of several disturbances.

– There are both tips about drug sales and people behaving inappropriately towards others. People report to the patrol that people are not behaving as they should. The patrol reported that more were needed, so we have sent what we have available. Now we have as many as three police cars on Solsiden, he said.

– Are you going to stay on Solsiden for a while?

– Yes absolutely. Unless something more urgent happens, we will be present there, said the operations manager.

Calmed down

At half past seven on Sunday evening, all the police patrols have left Solsiden. The violent incident turned out not to be as serious as first reported.

– It was far less dramatic than it appeared at first, and did not completely match the message we received. It is still very unclear and we are not able to conclude yet. We still haven’t found any perpetrators, says Liaklev Andersen.

The chaotic situation on Solsiden has also calmed down considerably, according to the operations manager.

– Other than that, things have calmed down a lot. We can hope that the rest of the evening goes well too, he says.

The disturbances that the police reported at 5pm on Sunday afternoon resulted in one expulsion from the site.

– He was rude and argued with the patrol on the spot, says the operations manager.
