“You can now get help from Gemini – via an extension in the browser – to, for example, organize and summarize content from Gmail, Drive, Maps, YouTube, Google Flights and Google Hotels,” explains Google in a recent press release.
Gemini in Norwegian in Google services with browser extension
“For example, if you’re planning a vacation to Greece, you can ask Gemini to find an email exchange about the trip in your Gmail and summarize the details, such as what times suit the group. Furthermore, you can request flights and hotels for specific dates, ask for the most popular hiking trails on the island – and find YouTube videos with tips for the best sights and activities. All in one simple conversation, and the best part of it all is that you can now do it in Norwegian,” they further explain about the extensions, which sound like a useful improvement.
We’re also introducing a new way to access Gemini in Chrome on your desktop. Just type @gemini followed by your request in the Chrome address bar and gemini.google.com will launch with a response to your request ready to go.
It is also nice that this is finally in Norwegian, although there is a note: “Note that only Extensions are coming to Norway at this time.” Although we are not members of the EU, it takes time before AI services are launched here, especially in Norwegian – Microsoft Copilot is not yet available without performing a little trick.
