Stand-up comedian Jerry Seinfeld (70) believes there are hardly any funny TV series anymore, and claims the far left and political correctness have killed the comedies.

That’s what the dollar billionaire says in a https://twitter.com/EndWokeness/status/1784607010547253396 broadcast on the New Yorker Radio Hour.

– Before, people could go home from work and be sure that there was something funny on TV. But it is no longer like that. Where have the good comedies gone? asks Seinfeld.

He himself believes that society has become too politically correct, and that the fear of offending has become so great that it dampens the mood of the population.

– Now people have to watch stand-up to get a laugh. Those of us who do stand-up are not ruled by anyone other than the audience. We know when we’re having a blast, and we know when we’re being funny. You can hear in the hall whether you have the audience with you, says the comedian, and adds:

– If you write a script for a TV series or a film that is to be processed and assessed by a number of people or committees, then you know it will be bad. Then everything that is fun and daring disappears.

He himself feels lucky to have entered the industry early enough to be able to be himself and be free to make the products he wanted, without being censored or controlled. But it is not like that for most comedians these days, the comedian learns.

Jerry Seinfeld is best known for the TV series ‘Seinfeld’, which ran on TV from 1989 to 1998, and became one of the world’s most popular comedy shows. He has been doing stand-up since the 70s.

He is currently with the Netflix film ‘Unfrosted’, which will be released on 3 May.
