Jenny Skavlan and Thomas Fingern” Gullestad are celebrating ten years as a married couple

This month it is a full ten years since the Norwegian star couple Jenny Skavlan (37) and Thomas “Fingern” Gullestad (43) gave each other their yes. The couple has been together since 2008 and in recent years have had two daughters together.

The 37-year-old is marking the big tenth anniversary on social media, where she describes it as a wild scheme.

Wedding day

“17 years ago you slid into DM to PAY me to party with you and your friends. I was broke and liked to party, so it was a perfect match,” she writes to a number of photos of herself and her husband, and continues:

“Also, it turned out that you needed help getting rid of some womanizers (charming from a city girl with way too much confidence) – something I could obviously help with.”

Skavlan writes that she got “both joy and sorrow, two children, a wedding and a perfectly stacked dishwasher”.

Furthermore, she describes her husband as “nice and kind and smart and funny”.

“And you have such nice body language and nice hands,” she writes in conclusion.

Jenny Skavlan has not yet responded to Se og Hørs’ inquiry.

This is how it started

Skavlan has previously told how the relationship began.

In a post on her previous blog, she wrote that she had never heard of “Finger”, but learned from student friends in Copenhagen that he was in the band Klovner i Kamp.

“When Thomas and I were both in Oslo for a weekend, I took the chance and agreed to a date. Which would turn out to be a crowded date,” she wrote at the time.

Gullestad is said to have taken the 37-year-old to lunch with the others in the band. While Skavlan dressed in “sneakers and hip hop clothes”, the meeting took a surprising turn at the Grand Café itself.

“There, between tea and chop sandwiches, the guys talked about bone-chilling interests such as jazz, horses, Danish Christmas plates, fear of flying and anxiety attacks. They may not have been the bad-ass hip-hop artists I had imagined, but I was sold.”

“I found a hip hop skull in a singlet with a night job, tattoos and a mustang”, she wrote further.
