HThe world’s eyes were on London and Westminster Abbey when Princess Kate (42) and Prince William (41) married each other on 29 April 13 years ago.
On that occasion, the British royal house shares a photo of the married couple that has not been shared before.
“13 years ago today!”, says a black and white photo of the couple.
On 29 April 2011, close to two thousand expectant guests were ready to celebrate the wedding. Present during the wedding were the Prime Minister, family and celebrity friends. A bespectacled Elton John beamed in competition with Victoria and Sir David Beckham.

– A big shock
A month ago, the news broke that Princess Kate had contracted cancer.
– It has been an incredibly tough few months for the whole family. In January I had an operation in London. At the time, it was thought that it was not cancer. After the operation, it became clear that it was. It was therefore decided that I should undergo cancer treatment, she said in a video on Instagram.
– This of course came as a big shock. Me and William have done everything we could to process and take care of our family. I hope you can therefore understand that this has taken time.
