The message was that there was an ongoing attack near the reservoir in New York’s Central Park, at 90th Street and East Drive.

The victim of the attack was actor Michael Stuhlbarg (55), known for his roles in the film “Call Me by Your Name” and the drama series “Boardwalk Empire”.

The police: Chased the perpetrator

On Monday, the police announced that a 27-year-old man had been arrested. He is described by Sky News, among others, as homeless.

The preliminary investigation indicates that he threw a rock that hit Stuhlbarg in the neck.

The actor is said to have chased the 27-year-old out of the park and to the Russian consulate, where he was arrested by the police, writes ABC New York.

CNN has so far been unable to get a comment from Stuhlbarg.
