Subsea 7/One Subsea signs long-term agreement with Equino

--

Equinor and the Subsea Integration Alliance (which consists of Subsea7 and OneSubsea) have signed an agreement on a long-term strategic collaboration on Thursday, according to a stock exchange announcement from Subsea 7.

The agreement strengthens both Subsea7’s and OneSubsea’s positions as reliable suppliers for Equinor, it says.

The collaboration starts immediately with early, joint concept studies for two projects: the Wisting field off Norway, and the Bay du Nord off Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

According to the agreement, any EPCI contracts (engineering, procurement, construction and installation) will be directly awarded to the alliance if a final investment decision is made.

– Equinor is working hard to improve and mature the Wisting and Bay du Nord projects. Choosing a supplier at this early stage is a new approach to project development for us, says Director of Project Development at Equinor, Trond Bokn, in a comment.

Subsea 7 has collaborated with Equinor on extensive subsea projects for many years, for example in the Snorre expansion on the Norwegian continental shelf and the development of the Bacalhau field in Brazil.
