Has unveiled the lightning-quick “Model 3” – to Norway next month

--

We were delighted by the improvements Tesla served with the Model 3 in the 2023 edition – now comes the “Performance” 4 x 4 edition.

Coming to Norway in the second quarter

“When we designed the Model 3, our goal was to create a product that was optimized for production efficiency. This meant reducing the complexity and the difference between the model variants. However, the Model 3 was naturally nimble and fun to drive thanks to the car’s low center of gravity and dynamic chassis. With a few hardware updates, we created the Model 3 Performance: an accessible, fun and versatile sports car that thrills both on the straight and through turns,” explains Tesla about the first performance edition – they continue:

“Six years after the first Model 3 Performance was delivered, our state-of-the-art manufacturing and engineering capabilities have enabled us to design, develop and build a highly differentiated performance product. New Model 3 Performance builds on the improvements in quality and platform of the latest Model 3, delivering a more focused driving experience, in addition to unique vehicle characteristics and design elements. “

Performance has up to 528 km. range.

So what can one expect from acceleration? With over 460 “system horsepower,” as Tesla calls it, the latest performs 0 to 100 in 3.1 seconds and has a top speed you have to go to Germany to get close to: 262 km/h.

Model 3 Performance starts at NOK 589,765. Deliveries start in the second quarter, see our design studio for estimated delivery time in Norway.

The extra power is transferred to the road through wider rear wheels with forged 20″ aluminum rims with new 20″ summer tires for high performance. The new set-up with wider wheels at the rear provides sharper response in curves, improved predictability and increased grip out of bends on both road and track surfaces.

Our adaptive damping technology is completely new to Model 3 Performance, and is controlled via Tesla’s proprietary software that is integrated into our Tesla Vehicle Dynamics Controller (VDC). This ultra-modern system provides ultimate driving characteristics without compromising ease of use in everyday life.

We have made significant updates to the chassis hardware to match the increased performance of the drive systems and suspension. Increased structural rigidity, updated springs, stabilizer bars and bushings provide a chassis that performs more and responds instantly to what the driver wants.

The brakes now come standard with our advanced Performance brake pads, providing more immediate braking, higher thermal limits and better durability. Model 3 Performance has our red brake calipers.

The latest generation Track Mode now integrates adaptive suspension controls with a Performance-optimized powertrain that instantly responds to driver commands for maximum control. When it’s on, you can customize handling balance, stability control and regenerative braking via the new user interface.

All of these changes combine to create a driving experience that now respects driver commands more accurately, allowing you to take advantage of the higher performance limits on road and track.

Model 3 Performance also gets a distinctive design compared to other variants of the model. The new front and rear bumpers feature more aggressive styling, aerodynamics and integrated cooling ducts that work together with the rear diffuser and carbon fiber spoiler to optimize lift balance and stability at high speeds.

Inside, the new sports seats have improved side cushions and side padding that provide more side support in curves and during dynamic driving. The seats have both ventilation and heating. Carbon fiber trim with a unique weaving pattern that is new to Tesla helps make the Model 3 Performance stand out in the Model 3 series.
