“Elvis” actor Austin Butler (31) is bringing his sister, and not his girlfriend, to the film awards ceremony in Los Angeles next week.
On Tuesday, the stage is set for the annual Golden Globe awards, and Butler can win the coveted statuette for best actor in a drama for his performance in “Elvis.”
On Wednesday, “Entertainment Tonight” got the movie star to speak, and they then asked him who he chooses as a companion to the ceremony.
– I’m going to bring my sister, Butler said – and, according to the website, aimed at older sister Ashley Butler (37).

Mother (51) and daughter (16) strutted down the same catwalk.
So it will not be the girlfriend, model Kaia Gerber (21), who will walk the red carpet together with Butler. The film star is said to have explained that it was “difficult to choose”.
– But she is my only sister, so it will be nice to go with her.
The sister has also had to participate in obesity in the past. Last year, Ashley Butler shared this photo after a press conference for the film in Memphis – writing that it was “a magical weekend and that she’s very proud of her brother:
Butler has previously shared a childhood photo of himself and his sister on Instagram, where he describes her as “the one who taught him to tie his shoelaces, wash his hair, build Lego – and the best sister he could ever wish for”.
The “Elvis” film can also win the Golden Globe trophy for best film drama and best director (Baz Luhrmann).
Together at the Oscars?
However, Kaia Gerber has more chances to shine with her boyfriend. On 24 January, the nominees for the biggest film award ceremony of them all, the Oscars, will be announced.
Butler is probably on the guest list there too, regardless of nomination or not. Who he brings as a companion there remains to be seen.
Butler and Gerber confirmed their relationship to the public when they kissed in front of press photographers during the Cannes Film Festival last spring. By then, rumors of sweet music had been swirling for about half a year.
Gerber is the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford (56) and her husband Rande Gerber (60).
Austin Butler is also current in the TV series “Masters of the Air”, a war drama, which will appear on Apple TV+ during the spring.
