From 1998 to 2004, through 94 episodes over six seasons, the TV series “Sex and single life” rolled across the screen in many homes around the world. The series is based on the newspaper column and book series by author Candace Bushnell (64).
And despite the fact that it has been 25 years since the first episode aired, the series is still very popular to this day. In recent times, two films have also been released in the series, and “Sex and single life” is still a topic of conversation among fans.

Among other things, it is a classic topic of conversation among committed fans whether you are “team Mr. Big” or “team Aiden”, i.e. who do you think the main character Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker (57), should have ended up with in the end. Carrie’s relationship is devoted to a large part of all seasons, and the fans are clearly divided.
“Team Big” or “Team Aiden”?
Now the author also throws himself into the debate. In a post on Twitter, however, she comes up with a somewhat surprising answer.
Bushnell is neither nor.
“When people ask if I’m ‘Team Big’ or ‘Team Aiden,’ I profess my love for Harry Goldenblatt”she writes.
Harry Goldenblatt, played by Evan Handler (61), is married in the series to the character of Kristin Davis (57), Charlotte. This after he acted as Charlotte’s divorce lawyer after her first marriage to Trey MacDougal, played by Kyle Merritt MacLachlan (63).
“America thanks you”
Based on the responses to Bushnell’s Twitter post, it is very clear that she is not alone in having Harry as a favorite.
In the thread, there are several fans who throw themselves into the debate and share the author’s point of view.
“The bald Jewish men of America thank you”one writes.
“YES! Team Harry all the way!” writes another enthusiastically.
But it doesn’t stop there, another fan writes “Harry Goldenblatt can certainly get it”.
“Harry has always been my favourite. No competition.”, opines a fan who shares the same view as the author.
Additionally, more people are answering the original question of whether they’re on Mr. Big’s or Aiden’s team, and apparently there’s a good mix of both options among fans’ responses.
“Sex and single life” lives on
When “Sex and single life” ended in 2004, it didn’t take long for fans to demand more.
And they got that in the form of the films “Sex and single life” and “Sex and single life 2”, which follow the lives of the four friends into a more established phase of life. The last film came out in 2010, and in 2021 fans got another happy sequel.

Then came the series “And Just Like That…”, which follows Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte in their 50s. The series offers ups and downs in the “Sex and single life” universe, and many were horrified, among other things, when Mr. Big, who eventually married Carrie, died.
Potentially, however, the upcoming season can offer good news for the fans who are on “team Aiden”. In August, E! News that John Corbett (61), who plays Aiden, will probably appear on screen again. When the new season will arrive is not yet known.
