Timberwolves vs. Nuggets playoff series dates, ticket information

The Timberwolves made quick work of the Phoenix Suns in their NBA Western Conference quarterfinal series, giving them a week or so off before starting Round 2.

Late Monday night, the Wolves found out who their next opponent will be. The Denver Nuggets, defending NBA champions and No. 2 seed in the West, defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 108-106 on Jamal Murray’s 14-foot jumper with four seconds remaining. That victory gave the Nuggets a 4-1 series win, so the Wolves will travel to Denver for Game 1 Saturday and Game 2 Monday.

Game 3: Friday, May 10 at Target Center

What time is Game 1?

The NBA announced that Game 1 between the Timberwolves and Nuggets will be played Saturday at either 8:30 pm or 6 pm

The only way the game will be played at 6 pm is if both the Knicks and Pacers win Game 6 of their respective Eastern Conference playoff matchups. If either series goes seven games the Wolves will play at 8:30 pm

Broadcast

Game times and broadcast schedule have yet to be determined, but all games will be carried nationally and not on Bally Sports North. Radio broadcasts will be carried on KFAN 100.3-FM and there will be some Bally Sports North talent joining the call.

What about the coach?

Wolves coach Chris Finch is having knee surgery Wednesday. Top assistant Micah Nori is likely to run the bench, although the team is still hoping Finch can contribute in some way.
