Dag og Tid emphasizes having a tight and small administration where everyone has to take their own responsibility. Then it is important to have a good board and a good chairman who can contribute with advice and guidance.

As chairman, Sveinung has been important in ensuring the newspaper’s healthy financial operation, which has provided the basis for editorial initiatives and annual business growth. And he has been decisive in achieving a good placement of the newspaper’s equity and favorable lease terms for the magazine. He has been ambitious, at the same time as he has had a realistic approach to what is possible to achieve in a business of Dag og Tid’s size.

Dag og Tid has been in steady, good growth under Sveinung Lindaas as chairman, with a current circulation of 14,500 copies and a turnover of NOK 37 million, excluding media support of NOK 5.6 million.

As chairman of the board, he has of course been concerned with all aspects of Dag og Tid’s operations, and thus visits Dag og Tidstølen every year.

Sveinung comes from Haugesund, is a civil economist and works as director of property management at Storebrand. He has been active in youth team work both in Hordalaget, Rogalandslaget and BUL, and as county manager of the Bygdelagssamskipnaden in Oslo.

Sveinung is a keen nature photographer. When the undersigned called to ask for advice in February, he was in a cold camouflage tent in Hungary and took pictures of otters, black cranes, deer and the colorful kingfisher.

Sveinung has been on 160 mountain peaks in Norway at over 2000 metres. He only has 70 att before he has been to all of them.

On behalf of everyone at Dag og Tid, we would like to thank Sveinung Lindaas for the effort he has put in for the newspaper.

THE NEW DAY AND TIME BOARD

The new chairman is Åshild Mathisen, who joined the board in 2019, and who from 2020 has been deputy chairman. Mathisen is now a partner and consultant in the recruitment agency Hodejegerne. She has extensive media experience, including as editor-in-chief of Vårt Land. She also has a background as a political adviser in the Ministry of the Environment and as a communications adviser for the KrF parliamentary group.

Grethe Gynnild-Johnson takes over as deputy manager. The rest of the board is made up of Christian W. Samuelsen and Audun Skjervøy, both elected this year. Samuelsen has almost 20 years behind him from Klassekampen and is now head of the secretariat for SV at the Storting. Skjervøy is a farmer and runs Språksmia. He is a former editor of Dag og Tid. Arild Finne Nybø continues on the board. Representatives for the employees at Dag og Tid are Sofie May Rånes and Christiane Jordheim Larsen (vara).
