Agnieszka Anna Brozyna (25) died in a drowning accident in Flekkefjord

Her 25-year-old partner Lukasz Jan Trusilo is still missing since the incident on Sunday.

The two are Polish citizens and live together in Stavanger. On Sunday, both ended up in the water at Brufjell in Flekkefjord in Agder and a major rescue operation was launched.

– The investigation so far shows that there have been no eyewitnesses to the accident itself. The police cannot therefore say anything for certain about how the two victims ended up in the water, says police station chief Liv Versland Seland in the Agder police district.

– However, there is nothing to indicate that this is anything other than an accident with the worst possible outcome, she adds.

Agnieszka Anna Brozyna was retrieved from the water on Sunday evening and flown to Haukeland University Hospital. She was later pronounced dead.

Lukasz Jan Trusilo has since been missing.

– A large area around the accident site was searched in connection with the rescue operation on Sunday evening and night. It is now being considered whether and in the event when a search is to be launched for the presumed death, says Seland.

Close relatives of the deceased Brozyna accompanied the two. The next of kin have been informed that the names will be released.
